Mr.Dev – Editor

CHPoki is run by one person: Mr.Dev, a game developer who also builds the sites the games sit on. Everything below describes what that actually means in practice, because a name at the bottom of a page is worth very little without it.

The short version

He chooses the games, he checks them, and he is responsible for the text. There is no content team behind this, and pretending otherwise would be the first thing worth not believing about the site.

Choosing

CHPoki draws on a licensed catalogue considerably larger than what ends up here. Anything built around gambling, casino mechanics or real-money wagering is filtered out, as is adult material and any title that refuses to load over a secure connection. The filter runs on every import rather than once at launch, and a game that slips through is pulled when it is spotted.

Checking

A game page is only useful if the game behaves the way the page says. Controls that turn out to be wrong get corrected; a feature described but absent gets deleted rather than reworded into something vaguer. When a studio withdraws a title it stops working everywhere, including here, and the page comes down instead of sitting there broken.

Writing

Text on game pages is drafted from the studio’s own data and then edited against the game. The syndicated marketing paragraph that ships with a licensed title — the one that appears identically on every portal carrying it — is not what gets published.

The developer part

Building browser games and running a library of them lean on the same knowledge. How a build is packaged explains why one title takes eight seconds to start; how input handling was written explains which games survive a touchscreen. That knowledge is the reason this is a curated library rather than a directory.

Contact and corrections

Wrong description, broken game, controls listed incorrectly, or a studio with a question about a listing: all of it goes through the contact page. Name the game and say what you saw; that gets dealt with fastest. Corrections are made on the page itself and the last-updated date moves.
