About Niche Shift

Niche Shift asks you to maintain a fragile ocean food chain on a small grid, where every swipe counts. You merge identical sea creatures – Plankton into Krill, Krill into Fish, and so on – working toward apex predators and eventually the mythical Leviathan. The catch? Once you reach level‑three creatures and higher, they grow hungrier with each move you make. If you don't feed them by merging them into the next tier, they starve and become Bones that sit uselessly on your board, choking your options. Balancing expansion against hunger turns each decision into a careful gamble: do you push for a bigger predator or clear the clutter first?
